According to the Whatcom County Parks website, this trail is a segment of a proposed countywide trail system. The goal being to create a 74-mile trail between Bellingham and the Mount Baker Ski Area. There are two sections currently developed; Squalicum Creek Trail in Bellingham and this one, Maple Falls to Glacier Trail. This trail starts in Maple Creek Park in Maple Falls on the Maple Creek Loop Trail. Starting from the trailhead, follow the main trail, until the third junction (about 0.3 miles). At the third junction, take the trail to the right.
