Directions

Via Corral Pass Trailhead: Drive east on State Highway 410 from Enumclaw, 31.6 miles to Corral Pass Road #7174. Turn left (east) onto Road #7174 and follow it 1.0 mile to White River Trail #1199 trailhead. Trailhead is on left side of road at switchback corner. Travel White River Trail #1199 for 2.1 miles to Ranger Creek Trail.

Via White River Trailhead: Travel Highway 410 east from Enumclaw for 29.8 miles to parking area on right. Take the spur trail across Highway 410 to White River Trail #1199. Travel south on the White River Trail #1199 for 0.2 miles to start of Ranger Creek Trail.

Notes

Begin climbing through old growth timber. At mile 2.6 reach a spur trail left that leads to Little Ranger Peak with a good viewpoint of the White River Valley. Continuing on reach the junction with Palisades Trail 1198 at mile 4.6 and find a shelter built by Boy Scouts. The trail connects with the Dalles Ridge Trail 1173 at mile 5.8 with good views of Mt. Rainier.
