Directions

From I-5, take exit 198 (State Route 529). Continue on 529 north (which turns into N. Broadway), crossing over a pair of bridges. Keep an eye out for the Langus Riverfront Park sign. Turn right onto Frontage Road and keep right at the 'Y'. Turn right at the main sign and enter the park.

Park at Langus Riverfront Park or along 4th Street. Plan on saving your energy until you get to Spencer Island, so cut through the gravel road (4th Street) that leads between the lagoons and heads directly to the bridge that spans Union Slough. Once you cross the bridge, welcome to Spencer Island.

Notes

Spencer Island is a 412-acre wildlife habitat and preserve. The northern part of the island is run by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. This portion is an area that is open for hunting during duck season.
