Directions
From I-5, take Hwy 26 east from Portland to Government Camp - about a 1 hour drive. Follow the signs to Timberline Lodge by taking a left on Timberline Road. Travel six miles to the ski area's large parking area. The Pacific Crest Trail is located behind the main lodge.
Notes
This is a 3-5 day hike for backbackers.
Scenic mountain views, a few glacial crossings (depending on the season), cold rushing streams, Ramona Falls, deep wooded forests, mountain flora and fauna are some of the features of this trek.
Best for experienced backpackers or well-conditioned hikers.
