Directions
From I-5, take State Highway 20 west toward Oak Harbor. Take a left at the sign for Whidbey Island. Follow to Deception Pass State Park. When inside park, follow signs to North Beach and enter the parking lot after travelling down a hill. Trailhead is on the left about 100 yards up the hill from the parking lot. Look for some boulders blocking an old road.
Notes
After going through the archway under the highway, you'll be on the Discovery Trail. At the Coronet Bay Youth Camp, turn left following the signs for Goose Rock Perimeter and Goose Rock Summit Trails. The trail runs parallel to the shores of Coronet Bay. Stay right at the fork. Heading left is the trail for Goose Rock which loops back to Discovery Trail. Continuing right, the trail follows the bay before switchbacking upward into the trees.
