There are currently over a dozen different trails throughout the former Northern State Hospital grounds. Skagit Trail Builders has been putting in work in this trail system for a number of years; building bridges, laying out trail bedding, and much more.

Northern State Hospital, was a psychiatric hospital, opened in 1912 and operated for over 60 years. During its operation, patients worked in the dairy, farming, bakery, and more trades, that were on the sprawling campus. To find out more, recommend northernstatehospital.org.
