Trail travels up the east side of Bonaparte Mountain for 2 miles where it intersects the Fourth of July Ridge Trail #307. Three miles beyond the Forth of July Ridge Trail junction the Southside Trail connects with the Bonaparte Mountain Trail #306 to Bonaparte Lookout.
