Notes
This trail starts at the base of Multnomah Falls. Look for the trail behind the Multnomah Falls Lodge that will take you up to Benson Bridge. Approximately 0.5 miles into the hike, take a left at the junction. This will take you back towards the Historic Columbia River Highway after about 0.9 miles. Continue along the trail for another 0.9 miles where the trail intersects with Oneonta Trail. Keep to the right. In 0.7 miles, you'll come to a junction near Oneonta Falls. At the junction, keep to the left. In the next 1.1 miles, you'll pass Upper Horsetail Falls (Ponytail Falls). At the junction with Horsetail Falls trail, you can turn around and head back to the lodge. At the junction, if you keep to the right, you'll continue along the Gorge Trail. Keeping to the left will take you to the Historic Columbia River Highway.

Horses On the Trail?
Horses can be startled easily, so it’s important to make your presence known when approaching stock. Stand on the lower side of the trail to avoid startling them.
